and so, I have recovered…

After that unfortunate mishap/eejit-ness, I am back in the saddle. I made a door sign (so that you know where I live) and I made a whole one pillowsham out of the disappearing 9-patch. Only 2 more to go!!!! Tonight I am going to a dress-making workshop, where we are going to make dresses for little girls. I want to surprise a friend of mine. Hope she’s not reading this….

Our house is startingto look more and more like our home (as opposed to an enormous box), and I am enjoying all those finishing touches. Here are a few:

And last but not least, Yagel has started drawing pictures that are identifiable, and I am so proud. So his first two got a place of honour on the office wall with this super-cute wall hanging.

That’s all for now! Can’t wait to make the little dress! And after that, the cute little fabric house (already cut put the plastic pieces…)

I got out the pretty fabric, and found the tutorial, and sat down on the floor to start making the pattern. I got cold feet and chose an old piece of fabric, just in case… I decided on a wrap around skirt. I did the calculations and cut out my three panels. And wouldn’t you know it, i miscalculated. I was off by 20 centimeters for the waist and 30 centimeters for the hem…. oof. I annoy myself. All the excitement has gone. I don’t feel like making a skirt today anymore…. and I wasted quite a bit of fabric (decided to cut it on the bias too….)

Did I mention how much I annoy myself?
