I have been working on a beautiful order for a sweet new baby named Alon (Oak, in Hebrew) and its finally finished!!!wall art,,,I am so loving the name with the kite… I’m gonna have to make more of those…

I also made a couple of new pillows for the playroom. I got so tired of looking at what was there… see what happens when you take a 3 hour nap?!?

pillows....

the fabric is MOMO Wonderland by Moda. too beautiful for words. I ordered a fat quarter bundle when it first came out and have been enjoying it ever since… These pillows joined these two, which I made ages ago…

🙂

and

🙂

both made with re-purposed fabric. The denim fabric used to be a slipcover, and the navy gingham was an IKEA duvet cover from ages and ages ago…  both are disappearing nine-patches, one with sashing and one without… now my couch is very happy, and so am I!

The next pillow I want to make is this one... stunning, isn’t it? Well, that’s all for now, off to wrap the new pictures and deliver them to their final destination.

MWAH!!!

hello strangers!

Its been ages. I know. I’m sorry… life just gets in the way… kids, work, lack of sleep, stuff…. you know, life….

I had to write because I was so moved by Disney’s post that she was stopping to blog…. I can totally understand how blogging can take over one’s life and even start to interfere… I have the opposite problem… anywho, I just wanted to say how much I will miss Disney’s lovely posts and creative ideas. Good luck, Disney with wherever life takes you!!!!

On other notes… I have discovered the lovely art of crochet! AND I am soooo addicted! I have been using Lolly’s mom’s tutorials and have been churning out butterflies and roses by the dozens…

and this was inspired by this picture

butterfly wall art...

I have also discovered the joy of Picasa collages. What a great and easy way to show your work! Here are a gaggle (bunch?) of owls… (all for sale, by the way…)

hoot hoot

In my search for a good crocheted blanket tutorial, I came across Lucy’s wonderful tutorial and blog! And I am hooked!!!  I even bought the same yarn (same colours too!) Here’s what I’ve got so far…blanket...

and here are the colours waiting for me….

In ever more exciting news… I was featured on a blog! First time! I know, its in Hebrew, but its great exposure here in Israel…. I hope to be featured on an English blog as well…..

Anyway, Ilana and Daria started a forum which functions as a virtual craft fair. I have a virtual booth there! Its actually really cool! All free! All we have to do is advertise! Get exposure! You know the drill…. I hope you come visit… there are all kinds of artists featured there….
